This is the first episode that really did a good job of selling the show. My prior complaints toward the brothers relationship was pretty much dashed as complications began to emerge. Initially Yukio gives Rin the cold shoulder before expressing borderline hatred for his elder sibling, primarily blaming him for the death of their father. While Rin screeches for answers. Needless to say I really did want to see more as the pair seemed to wrap up far too quickly. At this point their relationship should be more turbulent.
Through it was nice to see the physically weaker one not walking in his elders’ shadow, I don’t buy genius/exorcist teacher for one second. It was a nice attempt to make Yukio seem more badass, I suppose that is the purpose of a shounen.
